This depicts the marriage procession between Dara Shikoh and Nadira Banu in the 1630's. Dara Shikoh was the eldest son of Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal Emperor. They were known to have had a rather successful marriage, both being faithful to each other and Dara never marrying anyone else.
