POP RAGEOUS Animal Welfare Policy

As a clothing brand, POP RAGEOUS does NOT use ANY animal-related materials.

We believe that animals are entitled to humane treatment and to have their basic needs met. This must be respected through the adoption of good animal husbandry, and the fulfillment of our animal welfare requirements.

We specifically DO NOT use the following:

Animal hair

• POPRAGEOUS does not accept rabbit hair, including angora rabbit hair.
• POPRAGEOUS only accept hair from living and domesticated animals including but not limited to goat, alpaca, llama, camel, cow, buffalo, yak, horse and pig.
• POPRAGEOUS does not allow hair from animals reared in cages for their hair or fur, including but not limited to raccoon, marten, fox, squirrel, sable chinchilla or ferret.
• No vulnerable or endangered species must be used.
• By the end of 2016, POPRAGEOUS requires full traceability down to farm level for all animal hair.

Fur

• POPRAGEOUS does not accept real fur.

Down and feathers

• POPRAGEOUS does not accept down or feathers from live plucked birds or from farms practicing live-plucking.
• POPRAGEOUS only accept down and feathers from slaughtered birds bred for meat production
• No vulnerable or endangered species must be used.
• All down and feathers must be sterilized to meet POPRAGEOUS’s Hygienic and Clean requirement for down & feather products.

Leather

• POPRAGEOUS only accept products made of leather from cow, buffalo, sheep, goat, fish or pig that have been bred for meat production.
• POPRAGEOUS does not allow cow, calf or ox leather from India.
• POPRAGEOUS does not allow leather from Bangladesh due to poor tannery processes in the country.
• POPRAGEOUS does not accept leather from aborted animals, including but not limited to slink, karakul, astrakhan, broadtail, persian lamb, swakara or krimmer.

Exotic skin

• POPRAGEOUS does not accept real exotic animal skins, including but not limited to; snake, alligator, crocodile and lizard.

Animal testing

• POPRAGEOUS does not accept animal testing on any products, either during production or on finished products.
